‘Starlink incorporated locally, services imminent’ – VP Pillay

Starlink has been incorporated as a local company in ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë and is now in the final stages of its licensing process, Vice-President Sebastien Pillay told the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Assembly on Tuesday morning.
He was responding to an urgent question on the satellite internet provider’s planned entry into the local market, raised by Georges Romain, Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) member for Anse Etoile. Hon. Romain asked whether studies had been conducted on Starlink’s potential impact on ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë’ economy and telecommunications sector, and whether the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Assembly would have access to them.
