FAD Watch project marks major milestone in marine conservation |22 April 2026
The ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Fisheries Authority, in collaboration with the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Coast Guard, has successfully completed the third mission under the FAD Watch project. From March 10 to April 2, 2026, the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Coast Guard (SCG) vessel Saya de Malha, operating under the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Fisheries Authority’s (SFA) direction, undertook a comprehensive operation to recover drifting fish aggregation devices (dFADs) and conduct beach clean-ups across ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë’ outer islands.
