By Proclamation published in the Official Gazette on Sunday October 26, 2025, the President of the Republic of ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë, Dr Patrick Herminie, has summoned the first sitting of the eighth ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Assembly to take place today, at 9am.
The sitting, to be held at the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Assembly precinct at Ile du Port, will be presided over by the current Speaker, Hon. Roger Mancienne. During this session, newly elected members of the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Assembly will be sworn in, followed by the election of the new Speaker of the House.
