Outgoing United Nations Coordinator for ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë, Christine N. Umutoni paid a farewell visit on the Deputy Speaker of the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Assembly, Hon. Gervais Henrie who was accompanied bythe clerk Tania Isaac.
The deputy speaker commended Mrs Umutoni for her contribution in facilitating ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë’ engagement with the various United Nations’ organs and other important partners.
During the meeting, both Mrs Umutoni and Deputy Speaker Henrie discussed the achievements of ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë in areas such as the blue economy, environmental protection, maritime security, sustainable development goals and the peaceful transition of government.
Mrs Umutoni also congratulated ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë on its progress thus far and highlighted the need for more engagement between the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Assembly and the United Nations’ organs.
Mrs Umutoni was accompanied by Sebastien Vauzelle, the RCO economist and Alexander Mancham, UN coordination officer for Mauritius and ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë.
