The Seychellois people made their voices heard through the ballot boxes just ten days ago, for the general elections.
Of eight presidential candidates – from five political parties and three independents – none secured the required 50 plus one percent of total valid votes cast to assume office, as stipulated by the Constitution, and Electoral Laws. Consequently, the Electoral Commission ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë (ECS) is coordinating a rerun, contested by candidates from the two main political parties.
