Rain, wet conditions and a competitive field did little to dampen the spirit of the Clean Shores Run, as 34 participants took on a 5-kilometre course in Roche Caï³¾²¹²Ô last Sunday.

Organised by the African Initiative news agency, the community race combined sport with environmental awareness as part of activities marking International Coastal Cleanup Day.

The event was held with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Among those lining up at the start were Minister for Youth and Sports Kelsey Belle and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Kirill Gennadievich Sokolov-Shcherbachev, alongside local runners and members of the diplomatic community.
