Minister Laporte explores air connectivity with LOT Polish Airlines

As part of her official visit to Poland, the Minister for Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, Veronique Laporte, met with MichaÅ‚ FijoÅ‚, chief executive of LOT Polish Airlines, and senior representatives of the airline to discuss opportunities for strengthening air connectivity between Poland and ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë.
Also present were David Bianchi, principal secretary for the Department of Ports and Civil Aviation, and Dr WiesÅ‚aw Judycki, ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë’ honorary consul in Poland.
Discussions focused on the growing number of visitors from Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries, the potential for Warsaw to serve as a gateway to ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë, and the possibility of introducing charter flights as a first step toward future scheduled services.
The meeting also explored opportunities in tourism, cargo development, and business travel. The Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation will work closely with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture in ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë to support LOT’s market assessment.
