Vesna Rakić appointed CEO of ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Tourism Board

The Office of the President has announced the appointment of Vesna Rakić as chief executive of the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Tourism Board, effective May 15, 2026.

Ms Rakić holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration (Marketing) from London South Bank University and brings over 30 years of experience in the tourism sector. Her career spans destination marketing, product development, tourism systems strengthening, and entrepreneurship in ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë.

She previously served as director and senior consultant at Sales & Marketing ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Pty Ltd, and has held senior roles including head of Sales and Marketing at bookseychelles, Market Development manager at Creole Holidays, and Marketing manager at Travel Services ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Ltd, overseeing portfolios such as Desroches Island Resort and Cat Cocos.

Ms Rakić is also a founding member of the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Small Hotels & Establishments Association (SSHEA) and remains actively engaged across the tourism industry. Her track record includes improving market access, strengthening distribution channels, supporting innovation, and aligning stakeholders across the tourism value chain.

The ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Tourism Board is tasked with promoting ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë as a premier sustainable destination, developing national marketing strategies, diversifying tourism products, and enhancing the visitor experience.

In her new role, Ms Rakić will lead efforts to strengthen ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë’ global positioning, boost competitiveness, and ensure the sector delivers greater economic returns while safeguarding the country’s environmental and cultural assets.
