Amos Ferley sets new 50m backstroke record time of 27.34 seconds

Young swimmer Amos Ferley of Aquafins Swimming Club, has rewritten the record books, setting a new national record in the men’s 50m backstroke with a time of 27.34 seconds. He broke the previous record of 27.39 seconds, held by Benjamin Lo-Pinto set on March 31, 2000 during a competition in Long Island, United States.
Ferley’s achievement came during the 2026 ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Age Group Swimming Championships organised by the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Aquatics Federation (SAF) at the ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë Swimming Pools, Roche Caïman.
