SPA teams up with partners to mark World Mangroves Day |28 July 2025
July 26 is World Mangroves Day. The day, designated by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) in 2015 and first held in July 2016, is aimed at raising awareness and promoting sustainable protection of mangroves ecosystem.
Each year ¾ÞÈéÎÞÂë joins the rest of the world to mark the day by planting different species of mangroves to restore the country’s wetland areas. This year was no exception as various organisations took to the marshland for this meaningful cause.
